As previously announced, 4 members of our board received the honor to participate
at Cambridge University International Model United Nations 2015. Amongst all the skilled delegates present the president of our society Myriam Rapior, was rewarded the distinguished delegate award in the COPUOS Committee.
From 19th to 22nd of November 7 delegates of our society attended the MUN conference in Malmö, Sweden. The special occasion for this trip was the establishment of a new partnership agreement between the two of our MUN Conferences.
WeiterlesenOn November 6th, 30 delegates from MUN Mannheim departed from Mannheim to attend KaMUN conference in Karlsruhe. All delegates enjoyed the conference a lot, especially the majority of newcomers, for whom this Model UN conference was their first.

WeiterlesenMUN Mannheim member Max Welz used his summer holidays to participate at BerlINMUN, which was held in german capital Berlin in the first week of August. He represented the delegate of Italy in the Council of the European Union which dealt with the topic „Mare Europaeum - The need for a cohesive european migration strategy“ discussing a reform of european asylum policy. As we all know, refugees are daily drowning in the Mediterranean during their attempt to reach Europe, so this issue urgently needs to be discussed in real politics as well.
WeiterlesenWorld Model United Nations 2015 conference took place in Seoul, the vibrant capital of South Korea. Right upon our arrival, we were amazed by the diversity around us: modern skyscrapers right next to ancient palaces and temples, chaotic street markets surrounded by huge colorful billboards everywhere and incredibly crowded streets.
WeiterlesenMUN Mannheim e.V. was represented in this year’s ScotMUN by 12 delegates. The conference took place in the beautiful city of Edinburgh from Friday 6th of March to Sunday 8th of March. The Opening Ceremony, which was held in the historic Assembly Rooms, marked the start of a great weekend full of new friendships and perceptions. Mark Muller Stuart QC who regularly advises international bodies on humanitarian crises, and Per Johannson, Head of Office for the European Parliament in Edinburgh, gave insights in their work with global organizations.
