MUN Mannheim at Harvard WorldMUN
The excitement for Harvard WorldMUN started very early —one could even argue too early— this year, as the selection workshop held in November motivated MUN Mannheim’s members to put on a fiery debate that took place on campus and left a little less than 20 victorious delegates ready to represent the society at Harvard WorldMUN in Madrid.
The first step of our delegation’s official journey to Harvard WorldMUN 2017 began in Frankfurt airport on the morning of March 11. From then on it was clear that we had ahead of us a week which would becoming a lasting memory for each member of our delegation. From the inflight time to the stopover in Amsterdam, we could constantly be heard laughing and exchanging our excitement for the upcoming week.
We are delighted to introduce this year's WorldMun Delegation, 14 of our best members are going to travel to Canadá in order to represent the University of Mannheim in one of the most renowned MUN conferences in the world.
Thank you all for joining us this amazing weekend. We had a great debate, a fantastic atmosphere and many enthusiastic new faces! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
The Executive Board thanks you all for joining, we will release information regarding WorldMUN soon so stay tuned.
The opening ceremony certainly included one of the highlights of WorldMUN 2016 in Rome as the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi was one of the speakers. Being a great rhetorician his speech on the current situation in Europe, emphasizing the value of intercultural competences, was really impressive. Besides there were a couple of more speakers and some musical acts to complete the opening ceremony.
We have selected our team for next year's Harvard WorldMUN: 19 motivated and highly competent students of different courses put together to represent MUN Mannheim e.V. in Rome.
World Model United Nations 2015 conference took place in Seoul, the vibrant capital of South Korea. Right upon our arrival, we were amazed by the diversity around us: modern skyscrapers right next to ancient palaces and temples, chaotic street markets surrounded by huge colorful billboards everywhere and incredibly crowded streets.
