Frequently Asked Questions

  • Mannheim Mini Model United Nations 2026 is a university-level compact Model UN conference in Germany, scheduled from April 18-19 (Saturday - Sunday).

Delegates simulate international governmental organizations in an academically rigorous environment. The conference features workshops for beginners and intermediate debaters, a social event and an opportunity for students from different parts of the world to learn and socialize in person!

  • All applicants are expected to have a strong command of English. No previous exposure to Model UN is expected for beginner-level committees. Delegates will receive appropriate materials and training before the conference sessions. For the intermediate-level committees, conference-level MUN experience is not expected but desired. Applicants should have participated in Model UN club sessions or gathered other relevant experience. Applicants to the advanced committee should demonstrate solid prior experience and might be invited to a selection interview. Exceptions can be made for excellent candidates.

  • Candidates must submit their application via mymun.

  • The delegate fee (until April 16) is EUR 20.

  • Our delegate fee covers the following conference experiences: workshops, two days of engaging debate, coffee and snacks catering throughout the event.

Regarding the socials, find more information on the “socials” page.

  • Both single delegate and delegation applications are possible. Large delegations are eligible for discounts. Please don’t hesitate to contact secretariat@mun-mannheim.de if your society intends to send a delegation to MiniMAMUN, and we will see how we can help.

  • Generally, we require that participants be at least 18 years old or enrolled in a university degree programme. Exceptions can be made for underage high school students - please get in touch with the secretariat if you fall into this category. The maximum age for delegates is 30 years. Exceptions are possible.

  • Applications cancelled at least three weeks before the conference will get 50% of their delegate fee refunded. After that, no refund is possible. If the conference has to be cancelled (for example, due to pandemic restrictions), all participants will have 100% of their fee refunded. For more information, consult the Terms and Conditions.

  • Unfortunately, as MiniMAMUN 2026 is a small conference, we are unable to issue invitation letters or provide visa support. Please also keep in mind that MUN Mannheim does not reimburse travel or lodging costs, and responsibility for securing a visa lies solely with the applicant.
